Description
I led live social media coverage for the annual Cambodian Parade & Festival, capturing real-time moments through Instagram Stories and in-feed posts. This required quick decision-making, on-the-ground content creation, and a strong understanding of what would resonate with our audience in the moment. I focused on highlighting the energy of the event, cultural pride, and community impact through engaging, timely content.
This project was especially meaningful to me as a proud Cambodian. I found this as an opportunity to authentically represent and celebrate my community. That connection translated into stronger storytelling and audience engagement.
The post significantly outperformed our average content, receiving over 400 likes compared to our typical ~100 likes per post—an increase of approximately 300%+ in engagement. This demonstrated the power of real-time, culturally connected content and reinforced the value of showing up authentically in community-centered moments.
